ABOUT

RefugeesLAB is an IFCU platform created in 2018 following the 2017 Refugee Migrant Network Conference in Rome. Comprised of 30 universities around the world, our platform provides the possibility of doing online courses develop by our universities or our partners, have access to information regarding events (conference, seminars, etc.) around the world & be inspired by the co-working laboratory. A space dedicated to create link between students and NGO.

OBJECTIVES

  • Develop online courses for humanitarian actors
  • Host and promote online courses
  • Promote conferences about refugee aid
  • Set up a co-working space where students can meet and collaborate with NGOs (communication, proposal writing, research thematic & academic, etc.).

Latest Event

The conference: “Family and Migration” organized in January 2019 at the Centre Sèvres (Paris) by RefugeesLAB of IFCU with the support of the OFII. This conference aimed at creating partnerships for aid work in support of refugees and migrants around the world.  By offering a space for collective reflection between academic institutions and NGOs we hope to contribute to solutions of the migration policy crisis. This conference marks a milestone in the creation of a more pragmatic RefugeesLAB focused on action research with migrants and their families.

Location

RefugeesLab is currently working in 15 countries around the world and with 30 Universities. Our work with refugees and internally displaced persons have different targets. We are currently updating project specific data.
